Maybe it's because you just can't get enough Bengals news or maybe it's because you just watched a terrifying movie and you're too worried about what could be in your bed/closet or behind the shower curtain to fall asleep. Or maybe you live on a planet that has three suns, you don't know what night actually is and you, for some weird reason, get Earth's Internet (if you do, it's probably from Time Warner).
Whatever the case may be, this is a safe place (no monsters in the closet here). Share your thoughts whether they be Bengals or things-that-go-bump-in-the-night related.
Go.
Tonight I was joined by Joe Goodberry, Dave Wellman and our producer Jason Blanton as we went through the Bengals 2012 NFL draft pick by pick, analyzing each selection and grading each round. All in all, each of us were happy with the Bengals overall draft and we spent the time tonight to tell you why.
You can listen to the show here.
Join us the week after next on Thursday night where we will give a preview of the depth chart, discuss breaking news between now and then and give a short preview of the season.

On May 2 the Cincinnati Bengals announced their undrafted free agent signings, which included University of Connecticut offensive lineman Mike Ryan. Over a week later just before Cincinnati's rookie minicamp on May 11, the Bengals released Ryan and three others after reportedly failing their physicals. According to Ryan, he had suffered a "slight knee injury" during his March Pro Day.
For the past few weeks, CBSSportsLine's Pete Prisco has been hinting at the fact that he would be releasing his list of the top-100 players in the NFL. He finally released the list today, after much deliberation I'm sure, and it's definitely an interesting read. Prisco made this list off of film study and relying on NFL scouts' opinions, making it a valid assessment.
In year's past, the Cincinnati Bengals would have likely been slighted on a list like this, even though certain players would have been deserving. But, thanks to some recent success, Prisco gives the nod to a small handful of worthy Bengals.
Thanks to the new Collective Bargaining Agreement that was signed last year, rookie contracts are no longer a drawn out process that threatens a player's development deep into training camp. There are no more $50 million guarantees, contractual holdouts and every selection during the 2012 NFL draft is slotted much earlier than ever before. There is a projected price range for each player and we're going to address one of Cincinnati's first-round selections in detail.
Our usual suspects will be getting together (over the phone) to talk Bengals football. We'll be recapping the draft and taking your calls and comments, so be sure to join us. We'll be on the air at 7:30PM EST and will have an Open Thread going throughout the show. See you then!

Taking a moment to look back over the previous 17 months, you have to be clutching onto a feeling that things have improved within this organization. They've changed. Along with a vastly improved draft strategy that's resulted in critical foundation pieces, this team has added significant contributors through free agency (Thomas Howard, Manny Lawson) and surprisingly renewed an effort to bring back their own (Reggie Nelson) with enough conviction to replace Jonathan Fanene and Frostee Rucker through free agency and the NFL draft.
Let me make a bold statement. Marvin Lewis has more power today than he did in 2010. Let me make another one. The Cincinnati Bengals have to sign Lewis to a long-term extension.
