49'ers
Will win by 10 or more
ExNFLScout - January 14, 2012 via mobile
where is everyone
big missed opportunity there.
I will guess everyone waiting for The Fightin’ Tebows at the Brady Bunch.
david in upstate SC - January 14, 2012
looks like the Saints are initially going old school
does the look like an old style 6-2 defense or have I eaten too many patato chips already?
david in upstate SC - January 14, 2012
Geez I wish we would have gotten Whitner
Tampa_Bengal - January 14, 2012
Reggie Nelson would have gotten called
for helmet to helmet on a defenseless receiver
Oregonbengalsfan - January 14, 2012
+1
david in upstate SC - January 14, 2012
from what I have seen
the Saints are content with dink and dunk but they cannot convert 3 &8 all day.
david in upstate SC - January 14, 2012
wow
that was impressive
david in upstate SC - January 14, 2012
5 diff RB's used
in the first 10 mins of the game
ExNFLScout - January 14, 2012 via mobile
that my friends
is called read and jump
david in upstate SC - January 14, 2012
Love that look
Cover 2 look when Niners ran a Man-free
david in upstate SC - January 14, 2012
Remember when I said Goldson was better than Whitner?
And everyone bit my head off.. I do :(
Cry - January 14, 2012
for 49ers it was a question of
is mays better than whitner?
(think we all know that answer)
palewook - January 14, 2012
Its amazing how one coach can come in and completely turn a team around
Tampa_Bengal - January 14, 2012
All about the attitude
Madieu Williams sighting as well.
david in upstate SC - January 14, 2012
Harbaugh has taught his team how to win
In 9 years I have never seen Cincy start a must-win (or any) game as loose, fast, intense, and confident. How has Jim Harbaugh accomplished in one season what Marvin has not in 9? A big part of winning is attitiude. Harbaugh knows how to teach it.
Jim Spann - January 14, 2012
he's successful everywhere he's been
it is probably not a coincidence.
occams_tiger_teeth - January 14, 2012
I put $25 on the Niners before the post season started at 10-1 odds to win it all
and this is why….Defense!
SevenRings - January 14, 2012
Love your thinking
I picked the Niners among my friends at work to win division because I saw nothing in division that could take them out.
They play old school defense with an offense that now does not make the old silly mistakes they did with Nolan or Singletary.
david in upstate SC - January 14, 2012
Vic Fangio
In his 1st year as DC at SF. Yes he inherited a decent roster but he has them playing at a really high level… a level we’ve yet to see in Cincy. Just sayin’
Jim Spann - January 14, 2012
a level that the nfl hasnt seen since the 2000 ratbirds.
JCompton41 - January 14, 2012 via mobile
Holy turnovers batman
emeybee - January 14, 2012
that was the longest first quarter ever lol
AMAS85 - January 14, 2012
MNF game a few years ago
When GB went to Indy and the only person who did not score in the first Quarter was me.
david in upstate SC - January 14, 2012
Harbaugh
excellent coach, but I just can not like him….
txbengal29 - January 14, 2012
I know why
He is still a Michigan man
david in upstate SC - January 14, 2012
I love his intensity and his intelligence. I suspect he would tough to like in a pickup hoops game at the Y.
Jim Spann - January 14, 2012
saints are really digging a hole vs a solid 49ers defense
palewook - January 14, 2012
Wow
emeybee - January 14, 2012
not a fumble
Tampa_Bengal - January 14, 2012
he was down
txbengal29 - January 14, 2012
agreed.
david in upstate SC - January 14, 2012
nod
palewook - January 14, 2012
I bet Green Bay
would want SF to win.
txbengal29 - January 14, 2012
Yeah but
they have a possible jackpot brewing tomorrow.
david in upstate SC - January 14, 2012
true
Giants have momentum… out of the entire NFC i guess I would want the Saints to advance.
txbengal29 - January 14, 2012
Does it look like Graham has a light limp?
I wonder if he may stiffen at the half and cause a problem.
david in upstate SC - January 14, 2012
looks like he has a concussion
txbengal29 - January 14, 2012
I was thinking a low back or hip problem
He was twisted on landing lasst time around and he landed square on his left hip there. He will need some hot/cold to keep loose on the break. Remember, the Niners have second half KO.
david in upstate SC - January 14, 2012
Link?
I’m in Mexico and all I get is spanish Nickelodeon. Help!
ddbumpus - January 14, 2012

Tampa_Bengal - January 14, 2012
It works!
Hooray! Muchos Gracias!!
ddbumpus - January 14, 2012
de nada
Tampa_Bengal - January 14, 2012
get ready for 17-14
pretty soon here
txbengal29 - January 14, 2012
not sure
depends on if the chip/nudge on the edge works or if Graham is hurting.
david in upstate SC - January 14, 2012
Hey guys
How’s it going?
Josh Kirkendall - January 14, 2012
Well here in South Carolina
I found a store that sell’s Snyder’s chips.
david in upstate SC - January 14, 2012
RE:
They have chips?
Josh Kirkendall - January 14, 2012
I was as amazed as you
I grew up near Ironton and I could not watch football without Snyder’s chips growing up.
david in upstate SC - January 14, 2012
Snyder's Chips are awesome!
Columbus has them….why wouldn’t Cincy? Are you sheltered Josh?
ddbumpus - January 14, 2012
RE:
No. Grandma lets me out of the basement once per day for an hour. Usually to grab a bag of cheetos. Showers are optional.
Josh Kirkendall - January 14, 2012
lol
Tampa_Bengal - January 14, 2012
hey I grew up near Ironton too...across the river in KY

palewook - January 14, 2012
To clarify
the Pretzels are from Snyder’s of Hanover; the chips from Snyder’s of Berlin
darn immigration laws.
david in upstate SC - January 14, 2012
hey Josh
just wishing the Bengals were playing next.
txbengal29 - January 14, 2012
RE:
Copy that. We’d be playing next, beating the crap out of Brady in the pocket.
Josh Kirkendall - January 14, 2012
did someone mention
TEBOW?
sorry this aint espn..
palewook - January 14, 2012
Is not this a Tebow-free zone?
At least until that game thread is rolling.
david in upstate SC - January 14, 2012
RE:
Jason’s response on our round table was hilarious when we accidently warped into Tebow conversion.
Josh Kirkendall - January 14, 2012
Brees has to scare the hell outta the Niners
SevenRings - January 14, 2012
Anyone that wants the 49ers to win isn't American
I’m still holding onto our Super Bowl losses.
Josh Kirkendall - January 14, 2012
think its an age thing,
i dont pull for the 49ers nor can i. imagine anyone under 25 wonders why bengals fans could care about the 49ers.
palewook - January 14, 2012
RE:
Never, ever support the 49ers. Super Bowl win for us would be nice. But a SB win over the 49ers would make everything right again.
But I blame Paul Brown for the 49ers…
Josh Kirkendall - January 14, 2012
I have a betting interest but would normally root against them
SevenRings - January 14, 2012
RE:
If it’s about money, then that’s understandable. But once the game is over, you have to go back into hatin’ the playa.
Josh Kirkendall - January 14, 2012
true
wonder how Wyche would have done in Cincy…
txbengal29 - January 14, 2012
For those of you wondering...
Why I blame Paul Brown for the 49ers success, just go back to when Brown retired from the sidelines and didn’t promote Bill Walsh as head coach. :)
Josh Kirkendall - January 14, 2012
Would we've drafted Montana and Rice
For mine similar thing happening with Zim
messjunk - January 14, 2012
RE:
Not sure about the draft or anything of that, but Paul Brown made a disastrous decision not promoting Walsh.
Josh Kirkendall - January 14, 2012
dont forget the historcial Addendum in your scenario
it would be known as the Mid-west Coast Offense in the nfl..
probably not, we wouldnt have gotten the credit for it.
palewook - January 14, 2012
i blame stanley wilson (setting the tone) and Lewis Billups (dropping the int) for the 2nd one
1st one just happened.
palewook - January 14, 2012
I care
I am 43 and the Bengals could have won both of those… any team like SF, Green Bay, Pitt, Dallas… I root against, too much success, lol
txbengal29 - January 14, 2012
Hey I remember both games
I cried at age 11 from the Pontiac debacle.
I nearly had a nervous breakdown when Krumrie borke his leg. (I still scream for Bussey not to vacate that spot every time I see the highlight of Montana to Taylor.)
david in upstate SC - January 14, 2012
the niners should have put this game away early
AMAS85 - January 14, 2012
17-0 lead
not as big as once was in this day and age, if you have one of those offenses like NO, GB, NE
txbengal29 - January 14, 2012
Graham and Davis...
Makes beg the football gods for Jermaine Gresham’s eventual development.
Josh Kirkendall - January 14, 2012
wow what a blitz
AMAS85 - January 14, 2012
Justin Smith
Anyone kind of wish we still had him?
Josh Kirkendall - January 14, 2012
i don't
i just remeber him over pursuing a lot on our defense
AMAS85 - January 14, 2012
ehh, I'm alright.
He couldn’t give us the production he gives the 49ers. He’s built to be a 4-3 end.
sexsalad - January 14, 2012
dammit
*He’s built to be a 3-4 end.
sexsalad - January 14, 2012
he didnt want to be here
we tried to keep him. he sorta slacked the year we franchised him to encourage cincy to let him go
palewook - January 14, 2012
Screen!
I am looking for one right here.
david in upstate SC - January 14, 2012
Turnovers baby
Josh Kirkendall - January 14, 2012
What a catch
Tampa_Bengal - January 14, 2012
Wow, Henderson got MURDERED trying to run down the DB.
sexsalad - January 14, 2012
Blowed up
david in upstate SC - January 14, 2012
Was that Whitner with the nasty block?
Just think, he could have done that in stripes… to Hines Ward. :(
sexsalad - January 14, 2012
yuppers
david in upstate SC - January 14, 2012
yah I keep remembering that tease on tweeter that he did to us :(
Tampa_Bengal - January 14, 2012
hmm
https://twitter.com/#!/DonteWhitner/status/99179700101988352
yeah i recall it.
palewook - January 14, 2012
if you're mike singletary
do you feel screwed watching someone else take the team you built deep into the playoffs?
palewook - January 14, 2012
can't do it can't win with him can't do it
bengalinflorida - January 14, 2012
If I was Mike Singletary, I'd kill myself.
No one should be that big of an ass.
sexsalad - January 14, 2012
Williams is throwing the house at the Niners
Can the Niners run some sort of sprint draw?
Can Smith not throw a pick, channeling his former self?
david in upstate SC - January 14, 2012
*exterior
david in upstate SC - January 14, 2012
why does the draft have to be so damn far away?
bengalinflorida - January 14, 2012
free agency is closer
txbengal29 - January 14, 2012
draft is better though
bengalinflorida - January 14, 2012
OUCH
they would pick that banner to show the wind
david in upstate SC - January 14, 2012
wow the saints can tie this game by half time
AMAS85 - January 14, 2012
that would not shock me one bit
they can score anytime
bengalinflorida - January 14, 2012
if he is down, the half is over.
david in upstate SC - January 14, 2012
that was a bad hail marry pass lol.
bengalinflorida - January 14, 2012
Not a hail mary
More of lets go to halftime because i am hungry type of throw.
david in upstate SC - January 14, 2012
Honestly, I wouldn't be overly surprised if the Saints come out and run away with it in the second half.
They may have already takes the Niners’ best shot.
sexsalad - January 14, 2012
*taken
I can’t type today.
sexsalad - January 14, 2012
One thing though
This is not the Lions defense they will be doing this against. They make adjustments too.
david in upstate SC - January 14, 2012
hey guys, since we are halftime
I noticed that Thomas has not been seen since Whitner killed him at the goalline and Graham was not on the field the last two possessions for the Saints.
david in upstate SC - January 14, 2012
Sorry did not finish thought
Did I just miss them on the field or am I right?
david in upstate SC - January 14, 2012
Beautiful shoreline
Would visit but that liberal bastion would make my brain shut down from battling wits with unarmed people.
david in upstate SC - January 14, 2012
Quick thought
if the Zimmer situation doesn’t end in our favor and Del Rio is gone by the time we are looking for his replacement, what do you all think of Mike Singletary as our Defensive Coordinator? He’s currently the LB coach for the Vikings and has the same fiery attitude that Zimm has, thoughts?
joeb69 - January 14, 2012
That is why
I would like all that business be finished by the Super Bowl regarding Z.
david in upstate SC - January 14, 2012
me too
gotta feeling, it’s gonna be a long drawn out process though.
joeb69 - January 14, 2012
Niner ball
david in upstate SC - January 14, 2012
Don't feel like 9ers deserve this....
Don’t get me wrong, I wish our D was as ball-hawking as there’s but that offense is lame-o.
Israeli - January 14, 2012
yep
they should be way up with 5 turnovers.
occams_tiger_teeth - January 14, 2012
Brees gets in a zone? Look out if that happens
occams_tiger_teeth - January 14, 2012
justin smith would be no where near this good if he stayed here.
JCompton41 - January 14, 2012 via mobile
Aesop's fables
there’s a lot of that kind of talk.
occams_tiger_teeth - January 14, 2012
Watch out.
Sproles is due.
david in upstate SC - January 14, 2012
still is.
david in upstate SC - January 14, 2012
alex smith needs some wrs
Crabtrees an ok number 2, that’s about it. Wasn’t he supposed to be a superstar coming out of Texas tech?
JCompton41 - January 14, 2012 via mobile
Crabtree came out after his redshirt sophomore year if I remember correctly
listened to the media and contacted an agent almost right after the bowl game.
david in upstate SC - January 14, 2012
Brees screwed up the pass to Arrington
if he leads him to the left it’s a TD>
occams_tiger_teeth - January 14, 2012
UM
Saints Oline is pretty good and 49ers DB’s are pretty good as well
biggie22 - January 14, 2012
Flashback
to Tom Rathman running the exact same play.
david in upstate SC - January 14, 2012
I work as an Athletic Trainer in the HS setting
where are my ZigTech shoes? I do not have any. LOL
david in upstate SC - January 14, 2012
i love my zigtechs!
They make boots now too! Buying a pair when ASAP.
JCompton41 - January 14, 2012 via mobile
I bet the fans are loving Brees just hanging around
ticalcaldwell - January 14, 2012
Ghost to the Post game reference
on the 40th anniversary season of the Double OT MIA-KC playoff game
old school here we are
david in upstate SC - January 14, 2012
2nd and 10
Brat call there running. Terrible.
occams_tiger_teeth - January 14, 2012
both these kickers get their salaries
and their social security checks as well, right?
david in upstate SC - January 14, 2012
Harbaugh,looks so intense
He’s like a white Singletary, with the mind of a QB
keithp - January 14, 2012
It is crazy
to be able to view both teams blogs at the same time and watch them react simultaneously…Its hilarious…
ticalcaldwell - January 14, 2012
that is why I stay put
david in upstate SC - January 14, 2012
49ers way too conservative
too much stuff packed in within 10 lines of the LOS.
occams_tiger_teeth - January 14, 2012
Ya,it might bite them in the ass coming down the strech here
Who is SF DC?
keithp - January 14, 2012
Vic Fangio
occams_tiger_teeth - January 14, 2012
love to see former or potential bengals kicking a___ out there
Brooks, Smith, Whitner…
ticalcaldwell - January 14, 2012
not me
it’s like rubbing it in that Mike Brown can’t manage a roster nor motivate good players to stay.
occams_tiger_teeth - January 14, 2012
Why couldn't they do that here
They were OK but not nearly what they are now, f-ing Breshahan
biggie22 - January 14, 2012
It pains me why we let them go. We never gave brooks a shot to begin with but I guess he was injured alot
bnglsfan - January 14, 2012 via mobile
i always liked brooks when he was here.
JCompton41 - January 14, 2012 via mobile
Justin Smith with a great sack on Brees
SevenRings - January 14, 2012
Justin Smith and Ahmad Brooks........
SMH
smoormandiddy - January 14, 2012
that might have been the dagger
occams_tiger_teeth - January 14, 2012
nope. they seem happy to go up by six
which, with an offense like the Saints have, I would not be that pleased with.
occams_tiger_teeth - January 14, 2012
big play there for the ninerswe all knew akers would make the kick
but with Gore catching the deflection, it kept the clock running for another 35 seconds. See if that factors into anything soon.
david in upstate SC - January 14, 2012
*niners. We
david in upstate SC - January 14, 2012
Tebow cannot be stopped
ExNFLScout - January 14, 2012 via mobile
O boy
here we go
david in upstate SC - January 14, 2012
how is Tebow going to be the 49ers here?
that’s what I want to know.
occams_tiger_teeth - January 14, 2012
^beat
occams_tiger_teeth - January 14, 2012
What would think about the idea of Tebow and Bernard Scott on the same team?
sexsalad - January 14, 2012
Siragusa looking rather dapper in the suit.
david in upstate SC - January 14, 2012
peytons man boobs have developed nicely this season
ExNFLScout - January 14, 2012 via mobile
He had to.
he sould not run for a while after the knee injury.
david in upstate SC - January 14, 2012
if the Saints go up by 1
they’re not going to be too comfy either, unless they chew up all the clock
occams_tiger_teeth - January 14, 2012
Sproles safer on 3rd and 1
than Benson would be.
occams_tiger_teeth - January 14, 2012
Sproles explodes
nice play call!
occams_tiger_teeth - January 14, 2012
Arrow route
versus man coverage. one hands in face block by Graham downfield. TD Saints.
This is where the Niers offensive tendencies help. They just need to get Akers to a 45 yard kick.
david in upstate SC - January 14, 2012
Is it me or does Sproles remind u exactly of Benson
ExNFLScout - January 14, 2012 via mobile
Is this a funny?
Cry - January 14, 2012
Implied sarcasm?
Oregonbengalsfan - January 14, 2012
Two great head coaches today
Both of ’em you feel their teams have a lot of confidence, and they both have some nads.
occams_tiger_teeth - January 14, 2012
It often takes some time for a coach to adjust to the NFL game, but not Harbaugh.
He’s the AJ Green of coaching.
sexsalad - January 14, 2012
Chimney ball
ersus pressure and David went to the ball
david in upstate SC - January 14, 2012
That was even better placed than
Brees’ throw to Colston for the TD
Oregonbengalsfan - January 14, 2012
*versus *Davis
I need hooked on phonics remedial course i guess
david in upstate SC - January 14, 2012
That catch by Davis
Looked familiar. Only on the other side of the field when it happen to Cincy.
Yarin - January 14, 2012
if SF gets this 1st down they can run the clock all the way down
txbengal29 - January 14, 2012
if the Niners score a TD
do you go for 2 or just kick it?
david in upstate SC - January 14, 2012
2 for sure
txbengal29 - January 14, 2012
any one got a Tebwo joke to throw in?
david in upstate SC - January 14, 2012
That was badass
keithp - January 14, 2012
*you know who I mean
david in upstate SC - January 14, 2012
he should have run out at the 1 yard line
txbengal29 - January 14, 2012
I dont agree really
If you got a chance to score you have to do it. Fumble in that siyuation would kill you. That defense has been really strong. I tale my chances with it.
Yarin - January 14, 2012
I mean
kneel down 3 times, and the clock runs all the way down, then kick a chip shot field goal,
txbengal29 - January 14, 2012
but
the Saints burn a TO after first down, twom inute warning after the second down, FG comes with a minute.
Still giving Brees 50 seconds (or so) to get in FG range.
david in upstate SC - January 14, 2012
true
he would have to just go down inbounds.
txbengal29 - January 14, 2012
see
lol
txbengal29 - January 14, 2012
one thing
TOP was only 34 seconds
Still would have had time for that.
david in upstate SC - January 14, 2012
did you notice
the uncalled leg whip on the DB downfield? Conrad Dobler would be proud
david in upstate SC - January 14, 2012
remember the play where Gore caught the deflection?
If that pass falls incomplete, there is about 3 full minutes left. Just saying.
david in upstate SC - January 14, 2012
Why not take the knee and the 8 seconds sproles..
Cry - January 14, 2012
How many passes have been deflected or defended by the DB's
david in upstate SC - January 14, 2012
Holy ..............
What a play
Yarin - January 14, 2012
Seriously that was insane..
Jeez if Dalton had that kind of trust in Gresham, we’d make those plays too.
Cry - January 14, 2012
Whitner whiffed
1:37 and one timeout for the Niners but a FG only ties
That is why I was wondering about kick or two on last SF TD
david in upstate SC - January 14, 2012
Brees is really shattering the record books.
Cry - January 14, 2012
How conservative to the Saints playon defense. I
Yarin - January 14, 2012
Well they blitz and that happens.. lol
Cry - January 14, 2012
this is where the wasted TO prior to the TD hurts
david in upstate SC - January 14, 2012

Instant Classic perhaps?
david in upstate SC - January 14, 2012
why would you single

txbengal29 - January 14, 2012
Possibly
Can never tell the first year a coach takes over— is it him, or is it the last guy’s foundation.
emeybee - January 14, 2012
i just mean

txbengal29 - January 14, 2012
This team was built by Singletary
You see the same thing with Rex Ryan. The Jets were built by Mangini. Ryan can barely get any of his draft picks on the field.
I think sometimes it takes someone from the outside to come in a rekindle the fire.
Some guys are personel guy and some guys are coaches. rarely do you see both.
Yarin - January 14, 2012
You can see it in the defense and mentality
But Singletary will never ever head coach in a NFC chanpionchip game
keithp - January 14, 2012
is it tebow time now
bengalinflorida - January 14, 2012
Man down man down the db covering davis on that last td strike just got murdered
