The first game during Sunday's divisional round for the 2011 playoffs puts two teams together that the Cincinnati Bengals are pretty familiar with. The Houston Texans will travel to the Baltimore Ravens with the winner heading to the AFC Championship game. Who do you have?

I hate the Ravens
and I hate the Texans…… and I hate NE… at least 2 of them will lose by the end of next Sunday.
txbengal29 - January 15, 2012
Ravens suck a so do Texans ....
So ill be happy to watch one lose today and the other lose next week
Toasted_Orange_Monster - January 15, 2012 via mobile
hellva of a return
palewook - January 15, 2012
Houston
is built to be very good for the next couple of years at least.
txbengal29 - January 15, 2012
its going to be a harbaugh super bowl
AMAS85 - January 15, 2012
Brian Patteriona
I’m thinking this was the guy who was reporting several other Bengals involved with Simpson’s weed incicdent. He’s now reporting several things about free agency that I don’t know how to take.
Mike offering Marvin an extension, but Marvin not yet accepting. Simpson rejecting offer given to him. Pat Sims to test free agency market.
P Garcon, M Bush, J Zuttah, C Finnegan & D Goldson are the top 5 targets on Bengals FA list.
There r rumblings that the Bengals would love to sign Bush, draft Wilson, they will let ced walk and they want show scott the door
The Nelson negotiations are in the very early stages. Also, both Livings and Roland will be allowed to walk without offers.
Oregonbengalsfan - January 15, 2012
where did you get this information from?
AMAS85 - January 15, 2012
From
Brian Patteriona’s twitter… but like I said, I don’t know how trustworthy this info is…
Oregonbengalsfan - January 15, 2012
whats his back ground?
AMAS85 - January 15, 2012
I THINK he was the person reporting multiple Bengals involved with
Simpson’s weed incident but I’m not sure. If so have heard good and bad about his credibility
Oregonbengalsfan - January 15, 2012
oh i gotcha
AMAS85 - January 15, 2012
who is Wilson?
txbengal29 - January 15, 2012
David Wilson
Oregonbengalsfan - January 15, 2012
I'm guessing David Wilson RB
biggie22 - January 15, 2012
well
if they sign Bush, they don’t need to spend a high pick on a RB
txbengal29 - January 15, 2012
true
what if richardson falls to us?
AMAS85 - January 15, 2012
I think he will
biggie22 - January 15, 2012
Richardson is tempting
so is a good CB and S
txbengal29 - January 15, 2012
yea if richardson falls to us, we have to pick him
then we at least get a S or CB with the 21st
AMAS85 - January 15, 2012
Richardson wont get past the Jets
I do not think they will resign LT and with Sparano as new OC they will want to get back to ground and pound.
Yarin - January 15, 2012
I still wouldn't mind them getting another RB if they get Bush.
Bush is great for short yardage situations, but he isn’t a threat to make big plays at all. What I’d really like is a back who has the ability to score any given time he touches the ball.
sexsalad - January 15, 2012
hmmmm
if hue comes back, maybe bush follows?
AMAS85 - January 15, 2012
Interresting
biggie22 - January 15, 2012
Garcon and Finnegan
would be awesome
txbengal29 - January 15, 2012
i heard reports for WR FA targets were
Lloyd, meachem, and Edwards per joe reedy
AMAS85 - January 15, 2012
Yea I did too
Helmsy - January 15, 2012
who are Goldson and Zuttah?
txbengal29 - January 15, 2012
Goldson
49ers CB, Zuttah G/C from the Bucs
Oregonbengalsfan - January 15, 2012
thanks
txbengal29 - January 15, 2012
I thought Goldston was a safety
biggie22 - January 15, 2012
yeah my bad
safety
Oregonbengalsfan - January 15, 2012
Golds on is a manimal
He can cover and play the run.
whodeycommish14 - January 15, 2012 via mobile
HMMM
Wonder why Marvin wouldn’t take an offer
Helmsy - January 15, 2012
It's just like after '09
He has leverage and he feels this team will only get better, which means he’ll have even more leverage next season if this team continues to improve.
whodeycommish14 - January 15, 2012 via mobile
Good point
maybe he’s trying to convince Brown to give him the GM job……a guy can dream
Helmsy - January 15, 2012
Haha exactly what I was thinking
whodeycommish14 - January 15, 2012 via mobile
Pretty sure nothing he has said in past came true
Mexal - January 15, 2012 via mobile
He's been proven wrong over and over and over
When he’s wrong he shuts down whatever site he’s on and hopes people forget, then starts spouting his nonsense elsewhere. He said Carson was filing retirement papers, Brat was staying, Zampese was going to be OC, etc.
emeybee - January 15, 2012
Ok
I had heard both good and bad, mostly bad so… just figured I saw it and would pass it on
Oregonbengalsfan - January 15, 2012
Here are some details to Simpson and Lewis that this guy has posted on his blog
And as I said, I know nothing of his credibility, just passing along info
Oregonbengalsfan - January 15, 2012
yes
uni changes…
txbengal29 - January 15, 2012
He's full of crap
He just spouts the most likely thing and hopes it sticks. i.e. Uniforms— Nike is taking over this year, so it’s a given there will probably be at least minor changes.
When he’s wrong he either invents a conspiracy theory “they’re telling me lies to try to figure out who the leak is, I need to stop giving info for awhile” or completely shuts down his site.
I wasted a few hours following his info last year and gave up when it became clear he was bogus.
emeybee - January 15, 2012
Yeah and he seems to be the ONLY one reporting any of this
Oregonbengalsfan - January 15, 2012
Interesting
I can see the Marvin deal being plausible but signing Rome to 3 years with his legal issues seems a bit odd
Helmsy - January 15, 2012
unless
they know more than their telling us
joeb69 - January 15, 2012
That could be the case
It seems weird that nothing has happened yet
Helmsy - January 15, 2012
agreed
would think SOMETHING would have happened by now if it was going to happen
joeb69 - January 15, 2012
Who are you talking about?
Bigcatdaddy - January 15, 2012 via Android app
Brian Patteriona
But apparently this guy is not very credible so…
Oregonbengalsfan - January 15, 2012
Awesome coverage by J-Joe.
sexsalad - January 15, 2012

palewook - January 15, 2012

wow you can't give up that
kind of turnover
txbengal29 - January 15, 2012

Way to easy
Shoulda never tried to field that
Helmsy - January 15, 2012
what are the odds jones is a fa in 2012..
palewook - January 15, 2012
I kinda want the Ravens to win it
just because they have a better chance to beat the patriots
AMAS85 - January 15, 2012
yeah i don't hate the Ravens as much as the Steelers
txbengal29 - January 15, 2012
I fucking hate the Ravens with a passion.
I hope they get destroyed this week or next.
TCfromDubVee - January 15, 2012

elguapo09 - January 15, 2012
Flacco just Flaccoed
Helmsy - January 15, 2012
All this FA talk
I can’t wait till FA and the draft… get the roster set, and for the schedule to come out… but I guess I got to wait awhile!
txbengal29 - January 15, 2012
I know!
I really hate this time of year lol
All the “waiting with bated breath”
Oregonbengalsfan - January 15, 2012
The ravens can't catch today.
Yarin - January 15, 2012
That's what 2 or 3 dropped already
Helmsy - January 15, 2012
yeah
Yarin - January 15, 2012
Wow he almost did it again
Helmsy - January 15, 2012
Damn
Helmsy - January 15, 2012
lol yea Yates sucks
AMAS85 - January 15, 2012
Yea he threw it right to him
Helmsy - January 15, 2012
He's only looking for Andre.
Look another direction dumbass.
TCfromDubVee - January 15, 2012
can you say
Dalton to thriple covered AJ Green. Young guys do that .
Yarin - January 15, 2012
Yeah but Dalton is the man.
Yates is a scrub.
TCfromDubVee - January 15, 2012
very true
If Dalton didn’t have Green, he might have thrown close to 20 picks this year. Some of those completed deep balls would have been picked off if they’d be intended to anyone in the league besides Megatron, Andre Johnson, Fitzgerald or AJ.
sexsalad - January 15, 2012
Some teams show up for big games
We need to be one of them if we plan to turn things around.
Yarin - January 15, 2012
How come
the Bengals can’t cover against Yates, but everyone else can…
txbengal29 - January 15, 2012
the bengals did, the just didnt captilize on his bad throws
we should of least had 2 INT last game
AMAS85 - January 15, 2012
Is this really the team that carved us up last weekend?
sexsalad - January 15, 2012
Why didn't Yates throw crap like that when we played them?
Wait he did. Crocker, ugh

txbengal29 - January 15, 2012

b/c we were busy choking..
palewook - January 15, 2012
True
TarZander - January 15, 2012 via mobile
argh. much more of this and i'll go play team fortress 2 instead
this thing could get fugly quick.

TCfromDubVee - January 15, 2012
Turnovers
2 short drives.
txbengal29 - January 15, 2012
And Diedorf is worshipping Flacco
Helmsy - January 15, 2012
deidorf gets olds
he used to be ok in the 80s and 90s. anymore i wish he’d just shut up.
palewook - January 15, 2012
He is very annoying
Helmsy - January 15, 2012
Flacco not having a bad game.
Ravens recievers dropped a few they should have caught.
TCfromDubVee - January 15, 2012
Yes
I just think Dierdorf is annoying lol
Helmsy - January 15, 2012
won't argue there.
TCfromDubVee - January 15, 2012
I wish Gus Johnson was still doing NFL games
n8dogg - January 15, 2012
The Ravens fans are painting
mustaches on their faces… (female fan nonetheless)
Oregonbengalsfan - January 15, 2012
wow
Ed Reed NEVER drops that ball. I don’t know what happened.
sexsalad - January 15, 2012
He's old.
TCfromDubVee - January 15, 2012
That shouldn't affect his hands.
I mean, anomalies happen, but it’s just too weird to see Ed Reed drop a big INT in a playoff game.
sexsalad - January 15, 2012
he should retire for his health's sake.. ha
txbengal29 - January 15, 2012
Wow
I am sure the Bengals would have stopped that pass play too………..
Yarin - January 15, 2012
Ed Reed's career is done
elguapo09 - January 15, 2012
ed reed wont be done until he's in the hof
palewook - January 15, 2012
I think he's already in the HOF
They had to persuade him to come back for this year. And he’s been playing injured since before the season finale with the Bengals
elguapo09 - January 15, 2012
Nice run there
Helmsy - January 15, 2012
Foster
always gets those extra yards
txbengal29 - January 15, 2012
Wish we had a Foster!
TCfromDubVee - January 15, 2012
Trent Richardson will be our Foster.
sexsalad - January 15, 2012

TCfromDubVee - January 15, 2012
I just don't see it happening
Someone will grab him before we get a pick.
Yarin - January 15, 2012
Foster is a RFA this year
we can have him if we want, but, it’ll cost us our 1st and 3rd
joeb69 - January 15, 2012
odie with the nice catch
palewook - January 15, 2012
Toughest road games next year
1. Pitt
2. Baltimore
3. Philly
4. KC
5. SD
6. Cle- always tough
7. Wash
8. Jax.
txbengal29 - January 15, 2012
Well outside of our division
KC is always loud and Philly will be tough if they play like they did at the end of the year.
Helmsy - January 15, 2012
you know to fear the jags
they have bratt as their o-cord now. jags will be 16-0!
palewook - January 15, 2012
Haha
The Bratt is gonna tear some stuff up!!
Helmsy - January 15, 2012
every road game is tough
I just hope the Bengals can not take every game down to the last minute.
txbengal29 - January 15, 2012
What a Marvin-esque challenge
No chance of winning that one.
TarZander - January 15, 2012 via mobile
Foster is such a beast
Helmsy - January 15, 2012
Yes he is
and he went undrafted!!!! That is why I don’t want a first round running back
elguapo09 - January 15, 2012
Yea I'm generally of the same mind
Helmsy - January 15, 2012
Unless it's Richardson
Oregonbengalsfan - January 15, 2012
Yes if he falls we have to take him
Helmsy - January 15, 2012
I thought Mark Ingram was better coming out of the draft
and his first year has been very forgettable (474 YDS & 5 TD) I know injuries had some impact, but I want sure bets for the defense and OL.
Gooo Texans!!!
elguapo09 - January 15, 2012
I don't think Mark Ingram
Can hold a candle to Trent Richardson. Just my opinion though.
whodeycommish14 - January 15, 2012 via mobile
Unbelievable
SCbengalsfan - January 15, 2012 via mobile
His cuts are ridiculous
And he’s crafty for how tall he is. Gets real skinny in the holes. Once he gets to the second level, it’s on like Donkey Kong. I think Kubiak’s zone blocking scheme is perfect for Jim as well.
whodeycommish14 - January 15, 2012 via mobile
him as well**
whodeycommish14 - January 15, 2012 via mobile
Wow what a play
Helmsy - January 15, 2012
those 3rd down conversions

txbengal29 - January 15, 2012
if only benson had hands like foster lol
AMAS85 - January 15, 2012
and..
quickness, balance, desire, heart, vision. Benson is pretty much the anti- Foster of running backs
Yarin - January 15, 2012
foster (even tate) are x2 the back benson is
palewook - January 15, 2012
think how could the texans could of been with Scaub and Williams this year
AMAS85 - January 15, 2012
they should
win the South next year
txbengal29 - January 15, 2012
But I have come to believe they will never ever ever
win in Indianapolis
Helmsy - January 15, 2012
superbowl bound
chance they make it even without them.
i wonder if the bengals would still be in the playoffs if we had resigned jojo..
palewook - January 15, 2012
we never made it past
The Wildcard games we had with him………..
Yarin - January 15, 2012
jojo on a 9-7 cincy team?
especially after the hall injury? we’d have been 11-5 this season at the minimum with jojo here
palewook - January 15, 2012
Yep
with J Joe the Bengals automatically got a win versus the Ravens each year
elguapo09 - January 15, 2012
So JJoe
Is the only reason we beat the Ravens once per year? JJoe is a one man team.
Yarin - January 15, 2012
well Leon Hall
didn’t play in either Raven game either.
txbengal29 - January 15, 2012
Yes he consistently made the Ravens WRs and Flacco look very bad
elguapo09 - January 15, 2012
we went 4-12 with him on the team
Last season. Ohh that’s right .. He was injured, which seemed to be most of the time he was here.
Yarin - January 15, 2012
one of those wins was against baltimore
and yes J Joe did play in that game
elguapo09 - January 15, 2012

AMAS85 - January 15, 2012

whodeycommish14 - January 15, 2012 via mobile
refs for todays game
have done a good job.
palewook - January 15, 2012

whodeycommish14 - January 15, 2012 via mobile
I would love the Bengals
To morph into either if these two defense next season.
Yarin - January 15, 2012

Tampa_Bengal - January 15, 2012
I'd take the Texans D
because they have J Joseph
elguapo09 - January 15, 2012
I would take the Texans too
They are much younger than the Ravens Defense.
Yarin - January 15, 2012
And sacks are starting to roll
Helmsy - January 15, 2012
Wouldn't be surprised if the Ravens try to dump Flacco after this season
and try to get Manning. They aren’t ever going to get to the SB with Flacco.
elguapo09 - January 15, 2012
that was a heads up play there
Helmsy - January 15, 2012
good pass there too

bengalinflorida - January 15, 2012

txbengal29 - January 15, 2012
3-4

Yarin - January 15, 2012

bengalinflorida - January 15, 2012
we have the personnel
just a matter of who is our D-Coordinator
joeb69 - January 15, 2012
Could be the thinking with Dontay Moch
messjunk - January 15, 2012
k
Dunlap, Peko, Atkins on the line, Rucker Fanane and Sims rotate, M. Johnson, Maualuga, Howard, Rivers at LB with Muck, Mock and B. Johnson rotate, almost seems like the perfect fit
joeb69 - January 15, 2012
That would be great
I’ve been watching the TX D and they’ve been bringing at least 4 rushers on passing downs. The front 3 and stunting a lber. It’s been working well.

bengalinflorida - January 15, 2012
I don't know
I think I’ll wait and judge on that. I’ll never count a Peyton Manning led team hahaha. But you’re right though, once they get Schauby and Mario Williams back, they’ll be one heck of a football team.

At this point the only thing that can save the Texans

occams_tiger_teeth - January 15, 2012

txbengal29 - January 15, 2012
thanks alot texans

bengalinflorida - January 15, 2012
yeah the Belicheats

occams_tiger_teeth - January 15, 2012
exactly...
txbengal29 - January 15, 2012
what the hell are the Ravens doing???

txbengal29 - January 15, 2012

of course the Texans offense is not nearly as competent…
occams_tiger_teeth - January 15, 2012

It equals out.
Yarin - January 15, 2012

Helmsy - January 15, 2012

bengalinflorida - January 15, 2012
Yates...Yates.....Yates
Come on baby
n8dogg - January 15, 2012
Time to ride Andre Johnson

occams_tiger_teeth - January 15, 2012
he was down
bengalinflorida - January 15, 2012
yep
I thought he wasn’t at first but after the replay he was
Helmsy - January 15, 2012
Nastia Lukin is looking good on those Subway commercials
n8dogg - January 15, 2012
if they have a play where they can get Ed Reed to pay attention to Johnson
and then find Daniels… it’s time for that.
occams_tiger_teeth - January 15, 2012
Suggs will probably make a play
and then a 10 minute montage of Ray and he celebrating.
txbengal29 - January 15, 2012
DAMN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Helmsy - January 15, 2012
He wasn't gonna drop 3 INT's in one game
Yarin - January 15, 2012
wtf yates
bengalinflorida - January 15, 2012
still got 2 timeouts
txbengal29 - January 15, 2012
Good night
whodeycommish14 - January 15, 2012 via mobile
Terrible throw
n8dogg - January 15, 2012

joeb69 - January 15, 2012
WTF

occams_tiger_teeth - January 15, 2012
I'll bet Yates feels sick
Helmsy - January 15, 2012
i know i do
bengalinflorida - January 15, 2012
Me too
Sooooo close
Helmsy - January 15, 2012
realistically he most likely will not start another playoff game
in his NFL career.
occams_tiger_teeth - January 15, 2012
He might turn into a starter in a few years
Helmsy - January 15, 2012
Home teams are 7-0
would not be surprised if it went to 10-0
txbengal29 - January 15, 2012
I think the Giants have a good chance at the upset
Helmsy - January 15, 2012
with Schaub
there’s no way the Texans lose this.
occams_tiger_teeth - January 15, 2012
Nope the Texans would most likely be up
by a TD or 3
Helmsy - January 15, 2012
now i hope the pats destroy the ravens worse than they did the broncos
bengalinflorida - January 15, 2012
that would be wonderful
Helmsy - January 15, 2012
Still life
n8dogg - January 15, 2012
not over yet, haha
txbengal29 - January 15, 2012
enough time for another pick from yates
bengalinflorida - January 15, 2012
this would be priceless if Houston scores
txbengal29 - January 15, 2012
Oh it would be
Helmsy - January 15, 2012
zero penalties on the Ravens today
seems improbable
occams_tiger_teeth - January 15, 2012
alot of home cooking today i would say
bengalinflorida - January 15, 2012
If Yates would not fricking lock in on one guy
they have enough weapons
occams_tiger_teeth - January 15, 2012
Jones has shown his true colors today.
Letting a ball bounce at the fifty with the game on the line. He’s lucky it went backwards.
whodeycommish14 - January 15, 2012 via mobile
he'
occams_tiger_teeth - January 15, 2012
he's lucky if he's on the team next year
occams_tiger_teeth - January 15, 2012
Oh he'll be there I'm sure
Helmsy - January 15, 2012
horrible last sequence
no need to throw deep for the end zone on 4th and 1
occams_tiger_teeth - January 15, 2012
That was the dumbest thing I've seen today
WHY?!?!
whodeycommish14 - January 15, 2012 via mobile
Why would you go for it all there
makes no sense
