According to NFL Network's Jason La Canfora, the Miami Dolphins are bringing back Todd Bowles and Mike McCoy for second interviews. La Canfora remarks that Bowles and McCoy are "believed to be the only two finalists" but he admits he's not entirely certain. Bowles took over as intern head coach on December 18, 2011 after the team fired Tony Sparano. The Miami Dolphins won two of the final three games under Bowles.
ESPN's Adam Schefter amended that, along with Bowles and McCoy, the Dolphins will also be bringing in Green Bay Packers offensive coordinator, Joe Philbin for a second interview. Schefter also makes no mention of Zimmer as a top candidate in Miami.

Bengals defensive coordinator Mike Zimmer has been believed to be a major favorite for the past week for the head coaching position in Miami; though he's never been named as the prime favorite. He's also a serious candidate in Tampa Bay, interviewing with the team on Tuesday.
If Zimmer returns to the Bengals, he will enter the final year of a three-year deal he signed in 2010, leading the team's defense for a fifth season.
We do have to offer caution though that La Canfora offered limited confidence in his belief that Bowles and McCoy are the only two finalists. However we have yet to hear if the Dolphins have requested a second interview with Zimmer.

Zimmer
Still in serious consideration. But we suspect if the three candidates going for a second interview don’t work out.

I feel bad for the guy
He has done nothing but be successful whereas guys like Bowles and McCoy are getting HC jobs.

I don't want a coordinator that can't get a HC job for so long, something's gotta be wrong with this guy.

Yeah, I would hate to have LeBeau as DC, that would be awful.

Zimmer and South Beach never really seemed to mix anyways...
