There may be no Monday Night Football game today but that doesn't mean there is no football. There are six bowl games today, including two BCS bowl games.
- Houston and Penn State face off in the TicketCity Bowl at noon on ESPNU.
- Nebraska and South Carolina are in the Capital One Bowl at 1 p.m. ET on ESPN.
- Georgia and Michigan State are in the Outback Bowl at 1 p.m. ET on ABC.
- Florida and Ohio State are in the Gator Bowl at 1 p.m. ET on ESPN2.
- Oregon and Wisconsin are in the Rose Bowl at 5 p.m. ET on ESPN.
- Oklahoma State and Stanford are in the Fiesta Bowl at 8:30 p.m. ET on ESPN
Pick your poison.
Watching the Gator game and I have witnessed one of the worst calls ever
Tampa_Bengal - January 2, 2012
bowl games?? bowl games??
wth is wrong with you jason, the bengals are in the playoffs =)
heh. looking forward to the gatorbowl.
palewook - January 2, 2012
Go bucks!!!
WHYUS!! - January 2, 2012
God damn, Rainey is fast.
I wouldn’t be opposed to the Bengals drafting him as a returner and to move between the slot and the backfield.
sexsalad - January 2, 2012
I think Demps would be a better option
but the two are very similar in being fast as hell and pretty elusive
Tampa_Bengal - January 2, 2012
Yeah, I'd be happy with either.
sexsalad - January 2, 2012
Good 6+ round pickup
Tampa_Bengal - January 2, 2012
Or both
Think how speedy a backfield would be with Baby Hawk, Rainey, and Demps!!
DTFCPDX - January 2, 2012
Who are you ditching?
Whalen? Simpson? Shipley? Green?
steveinct - January 2, 2012
Rainey and Demps are runningbacks
I would ditch Binns, Tate, maybe Scott
DTFCPDX - January 2, 2012
Baby Hawk is a running back now?
emeybee - January 2, 2012
No, its just the Bengals line him up in the backfield or use him for WR reverses now.
DTFCPDX - January 2, 2012
Talking about officiating
These gator bowl officials are crap.
WHYUS!! - January 2, 2012
Where the hell does Florida even find these guys?
sexsalad - January 2, 2012
I kinda want to draft a WR with one of our first round picks.
Alshon Jeffrey or Floyd out of Notre Dame.
TCfromDubVee - January 2, 2012
absolutely on Floyd
i’m not sold on Jeffrey
elguapo09 - January 2, 2012
Bill Polian just got fired from Indy

JCompton41 - January 2, 2012 via mobile
I did

Helmsy - January 2, 2012
It's all the losers who said "see you at the draft" a few weeks ago
They should all be banned. Well, called out, harassed, and then banned.
emeybee - January 2, 2012
+1 lol
Helmsy - January 2, 2012

joeb69 - January 2, 2012
both dennard and jeffry just got ejected
Swinging on eachother
JCompton41 - January 2, 2012 via mobile
This might get lost, but hey, it is an open thread.
Some time in the next few weeks, I would love to see an article about the players who have remained quiet and why. In particular, I would love to see an article about Brandon Ghee. I remember reading comparisons to JoJo in his draft profile and also remember reading that he would make a great safety because he loves to hit. He ended up dealing with some injuries, then got cut, then to the practice squad, etc, so he couldn’t get on the field. Well, he has been back for weeks and I am not sure how many snaps he has taken. I also don’t know how many balls were thrown he way, etc. I know he had a tackle in one game, but that is it.
More importantly, if he can’t make it as a corner now, what the heck happened? Secondly, it isn’t like we have great safeties on this team, so why aren’t we converting him if he can’t make it as a corner?
The reason I would love to see some posts like that are because we are all talking about who we should draft, but it would be nice if we could get some inside scoop on some of the players that remain in the background. On most teams, players don’t play for a reason. As we have seen with guys like Simpson, Atkins and Dunlop last year, Marvin doesn’t play players until he has to so we never really know.
steveinct - January 2, 2012
fire up the rosebowl and see how montee looks
is this our guy?
palewook - January 2, 2012
Yes he is. Kid can run and catch
Anthony Cosenza - January 2, 2012
Also Kevin Zeitler RG & Peter Konz C
these two could be our best option at G seeing DeCastro slipping out of reach
messjunk - January 2, 2012
these Oregon helmets are awesome
Can’t tell if it’s chrome or some type of black chrome, but I’m diggin’ em big time
TruWhoDey - January 2, 2012 via iPhone app
The University of Nike
er, I mean, Oregon. :-)
occams_tiger_teeth - January 2, 2012
Coming soon to the NFL...
emeybee - January 2, 2012
With Nike here in Portland
it’s not really surprising
Oregonbengalsfan - January 2, 2012
Actually it's in Beaverton
Near Portland. Which is on the West Coast. Or at least about 80 miles away from the literal coast, which I think still qualifies as “west coast”.
I just have to keep things accurate— these geography issues are VERY important.
emeybee - January 2, 2012
Well, Beaverton, Hillsboro, yada, yada
it’s all Portland lol.
Portland Metro Area… there, that covers it
Oregonbengalsfan - January 2, 2012
LMAO
WHYUS!! - January 2, 2012
Apparently Lou Diamond Phillips is officiating the Rose Bowl today
Anthony Cosenza - January 2, 2012
D'Anthony Thomas
That kid is fast!
Oregonbengalsfan - January 2, 2012
Maybe draft him in 2013 or 2014 draft
DTFCPDX - January 2, 2012
I was thinking just that
Oregonbengalsfan - January 2, 2012
This Rose Bowl is awesome
Oregon can score at will and Wisconsin has a lot of good offensive players. It’s
21-21 right now.
Anthony Cosenza - January 2, 2012
probably game i've enjoyed the most today
palewook - January 2, 2012
HaHa
Oregonbengalsfan - January 2, 2012
So that's what it looks like when a RB receives a hell of a hit
but still remains upright and gets a good run out of it….
Oregonbengalsfan - January 2, 2012
Please draft montee balL in the second round he is a beast!
Bfritts45 - January 2, 2012 via mobile
Palewook isn't the only one who can change his signature.
sexsalad - January 2, 2012

butthurt?
palewook - January 2, 2012
dont know what year this stephen taylor rb for stanford is
But looks like he could be a good late round pick.
JCompton41 - January 2, 2012 via mobile
He's a Junior
and he’s had back to back 1000 yd seasons at Stanford
Oregonbengalsfan - January 2, 2012

I usually don’t follow college ball much other than certain players I like.
