Bengals Give Miami Dolphins Permission To Speak With DB Coach Kevin Coyle

According to Alex Marvez of Fox Sports, the Cincinnati Bengals have given the Miami Dolphins permission to speak with Bengals defensive secondary coach Kevin Coyle and that interview will take place at some point this week. Jason La Canfora originally wrote that the Dolphins were interested in Coyle, but it wasn't reported that permission was given by the Bengals to allow Coyle to interview.

Star-divide

According to Marvez, the Bengals allowed for two interviews with the Dolphins.

If Coyle leaves to for Miami, the Cincinnati Bengals could be in a particular predicament, especially if Mike Zimmer leaves for a head coaching position in Tampa Bay. Coyle was expected as a favorite to replace Zimmer as the team's defensive coordinator.

Last year the Philadelphia Eagles were denied permission to speak with Coyle for their open defensive coordinator position.

Cincinnati has had an unfamiliar assault with their coaches this year, with interest by multiple teams for both coordinators, as well as a defensive assistant in Coyle.

Hmm

Interesting that they would allow this now considering that Zimmer is still a candidate for Tampa.

Yeah I was thinking the same thing....

Why would they block an interview with the Eagles then have a change of heart after Zim gets HC consideration. Just doesn’t seem right.

The r cleaning house. New system
our future looks better than most years

and now our staff may be picked apart damn.

eehhh

not a big fan of Coyle…I know people love this guy, but our secondary was our absolute weakness this year….I know…JJoe and Hall..got it…I still think he is replaceable

Can you say

Jack Del Rio…..

that is what I was thinking
Is it too much false hope....

To think that they are letting this happen because they are confident that Zimmer is staying? Seems like if he is the “DC in waiting” they wouldn’t let him potentially go the same year they may lose Zimmer as well.

Ths tells me

That the staff is confident that Zimmer aint goin anywhere

Can everyone say we want.......ROD WOODSON !!!!

and shit can Alexander , bring in Dermontti Dawson while we’re at it.

They obviously know something we all don't.

Either Zimm is going nowhere, or they are going to bring in Del Rio. Isn’t the off season fun? lol

That is what I was thinking

They have to know something we don’t. Whether that being Zimmer staying or Del Rio already having interest in being the DC if Zim leaves

why...

..is there an ad for a Cincinnati BUNGLES shirt below this article?!

the advertising agencies are not impressed by a 9-7 season

What's with the interest in Coyle?

I’m confused, has there been a lot of buzz around this guy for awhile? If so, I have not heard it.

maybe the bucs

interviewed him for the hc spot so the bengals allowed it. Also they may be confident zimmer is staying or that if zimmer leaves coyle wont since he is going to be a devensive coordinator here.
