Mike ZImmer is staying in Cincinnati, but Kevin Coyle is leaving. Four Bengals players are in Hawaii gearing up for the Pro Bowl. Former Bengals quarterback Greg Cook passed away today. The Senior Bowl will also be played this weekend.

Dalton MVP of Pro Bowl
Masonr - January 27, 2012
Is that willis
willis mcgahee …. I still remember that devastating knee injury in that college bowl game…..
To see Dalton in that pick handing it off to willis … Well just shows you can come back from any thing as long as you have the heart.
77CincyRage - January 27, 2012
I am more sad now that i have researched Greg Cook and seen what might have been
Congrats to Coyle on your promotion….
Still looking 4 LBer coach / DB Coach now. hopefully we will get those soon
Also dont forget the replacement for Lippencott who retired this offseason.
4 youngins in the probowl. will do nothing but help them improve their game.
all in the 2nd year or less oldest is dalton @ 24 long bright future here in cincy.
and after Mike Zimmers latest comment. I’d say now would be a good time to promote him to HC
Bengalsfan024 - January 27, 2012
there i think i got all 4
Bengalsfan024 - January 27, 2012
why?
The head coach told him he needed more production. Remember we didn’t start generating turnovers until Marvin blasted the defense play. If that’s case why not play Sands or Miles over Crocker?
pray4gm11 - January 27, 2012 via mobile
well first 2 years were stop the run
then rush the passer…
next will be Get the ball.
Bengalsfan024 - January 27, 2012
ha ha ha
That’s a hell of development. In all honestly though a hard hitting safety and one sure tackling lb a take a lot of our defensive problems away.
pray4gm11 - January 27, 2012 via mobile
Oh yes we need a new starting SS
Could Be Sands Could be Mays could be Barron
who knows but it will be someone….
And LBer we get Moch this year and Muckeroy (who is a sure tackler) we just need Lbers that can cover TE’s
And Mays did a good job covering TE Owen Daniels in the first round vs the texasn but was inactive for the playoff game
Meaning Mays could be used as a cover LBer if we get a playmaking SS elsewhere or we can have 3 safties on the field vs 2 TE sets
Bengalsfan024 - January 27, 2012
Crocker was still netter in coverage than Sands or Mays would’ve been.
Joe Goodberry - January 27, 2012 via Android app
Don't know about that
Crocker was pretty bad in coverage:)
biggie22 - January 27, 2012
Picks1-4
1. Decastro
2. Miller
3. Jenkins
4. Konz
I this is our best options… Jenkins could be swapped out if you want. I also think if for some odd reason Kirkpatrick would fall to 17 I would go:
1. Kirkpatrick
2. Decastro
3. Konz
2. Pead/Martin
Toasted_Orange_Monster - January 27, 2012 via mobile
This is also barring no good FA OL
Toasted_Orange_Monster - January 27, 2012 via mobile
are you saying Konz in round 3 or 4?
Joe Goodberry - January 27, 2012 via Android app
I want the Baylor wr
He’s a sure fire playmaker. I rather have him than any cb other than Kirpatrick. So I’ll take Barron and Wright with first two picks.
pray4gm11 - January 27, 2012 via mobile
Wright? ill pass hes a play maker sure but hes also 5'10" and we have 3 slot guys
but for a #2 WR we could pick up Posey later and Binns/Hazelton might blow up this year who knows
But in the First we need a DB be it CB both jenkins or kirkpatrick could fall due to arrest.
And either Richardson… or OG. (only RB in the 1st would be richardson)
Bengalsfan024 - January 27, 2012
+1 I agree with you Bengalsfan024
but from my dealings with Pray, he will not let it go that easily, get ready….
pemci - January 27, 2012
LOL
Oregonbengalsfan - January 27, 2012
Hahah +10000000000000
Toasted_Orange_Monster - January 27, 2012 via mobile
I'LL AGREE ALSO
But posey, binns/hazelton is not on wright level. More so on Caldwell level. We need a speed demon on outside that’s why I mentioned Wright. Jury still out on Jenkins didn’t look all that impressive to me at practice this week.
pray4gm11 - January 27, 2012 via mobile
We need Sanu if we draft a WR high. Sanu will be a beast to whatever teams picks him up.
TCfromDubVee - January 27, 2012
Looking forward to what Binns or Hazelton can do I agree 100%
Toasted_Orange_Monster - January 27, 2012
In that case
Why not take Rainey in the 4th?
jimbasa - January 27, 2012 via mobile
Sleeper of draft. Look like he was playing a lot of wr this week also.
pray4gm11 - January 27, 2012 via mobile
I would love rainey
he can be like a sproles. We need a return man that can be a game changer,
Masonr - January 27, 2012
"Jury still out on Jenkins didn’t look all that impressive to me at practice this week."
Just and FYI to pray’s comment I am quoting. He is the ONLY person in all of the scouts, fans, etc that thinks he wasn’t impressive at practice this week.
Oregonbengalsfan - January 27, 2012
watch him for urself dude
I don’t go off what some tv dude says. His he probably was impressive because as I mentioned all cb sucked to me. Only one stood out was a Bentley kid. Put it like this didn’t none of the top 6 cb at senior move up I’m my opinion.
pray4gm11 - January 27, 2012 via mobile
Only CBs that moved up for me have been Bentley, Fleming, Norman and Asa Jackson. All guys I didn’t get to see much. Jenkins played solid, as I expected him to. Dennard played poor in off coverage. As I expected.
Joe Goodberry - January 27, 2012 via Android app
and this a Fact i was Jenkins biggeat fan before senior bowl practice
Just watch.game at 4 pm Saturday
pray4gm11 - January 27, 2012 via mobile
I hope he has an interception...
and a slew of other great stats and makes u look even more like the idiot you are. BTW your posts are really annoying to read because you are unable to speak a lick of proper english…. “Put it like this didn’t none of the top 6 cb at senior move up I’m my opinion.” is practically the dumbest way of saying “To put it simply, none of the top six CB’s stocks after their practices for the Senior Bowl rose, in my opinion.” If you want someone to really take you arguments seriously, please learn to speak a little smarter because God know’s you are not helping yourself out by ignoring facts that are plain as day available to you.
joecincy07 - January 27, 2012
who moved up? um nobody!!!
Before senior bowl all ur so called experts were saying Jenkins fell off and this dude name Denard was better prospect. Denard shouldn’t even been invited to participate while Jenkins wasn’t bad compared to the other cb but he did struggle in man coverage to me. Too me he want be an upgrade over Pac man, so why spend 1st rd pick on him? Damn, get off my nuts Zimmer just said yesterday that if #2 dt and #4 cb available were taking dt. So what that mean smart guy? Zimmer must believe that #3/4 cb prospects aren’t that highly rated in his book. And what facts have u spoken? U keep telling me what everybody else saying. Where I’m from we call that jock riding. And dummy Jenkins my favorite player out draft so I wanna see him in stripes but I also wanna win this CHAMPIONSHIP I smell. Go back on all the older post I was on Jenkins first and u lames wanted Denard talking crap about my boy had character issues. I just call it how I see it Yall, if Jenkins wasn’t shutting down wr at practice and none are 1st rd picks then why u think he can come in and start from day one?
pray4gm11 - January 27, 2012 via mobile
In doing so you ignore our biggest needs....
OL / CB
Bengalsfan024 - January 27, 2012
draft aint only place to improve ur team
Wr class isn’t has deep as Cb/ g class so u get more value taking wr in 1st. I wouldn’t mind dt or lb either.
pray4gm11 - January 27, 2012 via mobile
I like Zach Brown out of UNC with our 21st pick or Jerel Worthy out of MSU.
TCfromDubVee - January 27, 2012
True but until we know what happens in FA
These are still our biggest needs
Bengalsfan024 - January 27, 2012
Not looking to argue,
but Jenkins and also Boykins flat out dominated this week.
If he interviews well, Jenkins will be 1st round guy.
Martin also looked sharp as can be.
JoeskiBroski - January 27, 2012
Uh Oh Joeski
you said Jenkins dominated… watch out for pray4gm11…
Oregonbengalsfan - January 27, 2012
I have to agree.
Why pass up the chance to get a dominant player to draft the 4th or 5th best player at a position, just because its a position of need. Great teams get the best players. Bad teams draft for needs
EPK1979 - January 28, 2012 via mobile
This is from ESPN's Jamison Hensley and his ALL-AFC North Team:
Wide receiver: A.J. Green, Bengals. The fourth overall pick in the 2011 draft made an immediate impact as a deep threat. His 11 receptions in 2011 of 35 or more yards tied Detroit’s Calvin Johnson and the N.Y. Giants’ Victor Cruz for most in the NFL. It was the most by an NFL rookie since 1998, when Minnesota’s Randy Moss had 14. Green had six catches of 35-plus yards over the last seven regular-season games. His 51-yard catch over Joe Haden set up the game-winning field goal in Cincinnati’s 23-20 win in Week 12.
Tight end: Jermaine Gresham, Bengals. This was perhaps the closest call on offense. Gresham edged out Pittsburgh’s Heath Miller and Baltimore’s Ed Dickson because he led AFC North tight ends in receptions (56) and touchdown catches (six). In the comeback win over the Bills, Gresham pulled the Bengals to within 17-13 in the third quarter with a one-handed 17-yard touchdown grab and then had a 25-yard reception in the fourth quarter, which was the longest play in the game-tying drive.
Right tackle: Andre Smith, Bengals. The most improved player in the division, Smith is quietly starting to distance himself from the label of being a first-round bust. This isn’t to say he didn’t have some poor games and a high number of penalties (eight). Overall, it was a bad year for right tackles in the division. Smith stood out because he stayed on the field for 14 games, doubling last year’s total, and developed into an above-average starter.
pemci - January 27, 2012
where is all the players from our top 5 defense?
pray4gm11 - January 27, 2012 via mobile
or better yet where ur pro bowler Nelson?
pray4gm11 - January 27, 2012 via mobile
All-AFC North Defense Team:
Defensive end: Carlos Dunlap, Bengals. Tough call over Pittsburgh’s Brett Keisel. Before being slowed by a hamstring injury, Dunlap was getting to the quarterback like no other defensive end in the division. Despite missing four games, he recorded 4.5 sacks and led the Bengals with 27 quarterback pressures, which was four more than anyone else on the team.
Defensive tackle: Geno Atkins, Bengals. While the Bengals’ run defense faltered in the second half of the season, their front four pressured the quarterback like no other in the AFC North and perhaps the league. And Atkins was a huge part of that by collapsing the pocket up the middle. He tied Oakland’s Tommy Kelly for sacks by an interior lineman in the NFL with 7.5. He is the first Bengals interior lineman to top the team in sacks since 1996, when Dan Wilkinson led with 6.5.
pemci - January 27, 2012
thats about right
What cb made it over Clements?
pray4gm11 - January 27, 2012 via mobile
You know, if you don't like the team,
you are more than free to follow another team
pemci - January 27, 2012
We are in a division with Ed Reed and Troy P
until there gone they will win
Bengalsfan024 - January 27, 2012
reed had damn near more int then our safeties
In postseason alone. He better by himself than Crocker and Nelson is together. Troy always been and will be overrated
pray4gm11 - January 27, 2012 via mobile
HAHAHAHA
Tray is overrated?!?! The guy is all over the field make play after play when he is on the field. The only thing that could possibly put him close to a line of being overrated is him being prone to injury. Ed Reed and Troy are deserving of the credit they receive, as is ryan clark.
joecincy07 - January 27, 2012
Troy*
joecincy07 - January 27, 2012
fell off years ago
All over the field getting beat.
pray4gm11 - January 27, 2012 via mobile
nelson had better year than Troy thats all im really sayin
pray4gm11 - January 27, 2012 via mobile
Hmmm lets compare
Nelson – He had 85 total tackles, 59 were solo tackles, and 26 were assists. He also had 2 sacks, 2 forced fumbles, 4 interceptions, and 12 pass deflections.
Troy – He had 91 total tackles, 61 were solo tackles, and 27 were assists. He also had 1 sack, 2 interceptions, and 14 pass deflections.
That to me says that they had a very similar year, but I wouldn’t say better.
joecincy07 - January 27, 2012
Pray does not pay attention to facts...
See a few threads back…
pemci - January 27, 2012
yea i have been reading them
I have been following what has been said since like 4 hours ago and finally got fed up with him. Aside from all his crazy arguments, he sounds like an idiot when he speaks, like he did not make it past the 8th grade.
joecincy07 - January 27, 2012
Oh, and by the way...
by bringing up FACTS, you also risk being told (like I was and Oregon was) that we do not watch football, but rather just read up on the stats after the game…
pemci - January 27, 2012
nelson stats are better
And troy don’t even really play coverage any more. Dude been overrated his whole girlhood career.
pray4gm11 - January 27, 2012 via mobile

Wow
I never noticed his stat line! Those are pretty good numbers! ha
JoeskiBroski - January 27, 2012
yup. Why I’ve been saying re-signing Nelson is going to cost
Joe Goodberry - January 27, 2012 via Android app
+1
One of the most underrated on our defense.
Helmsy - January 28, 2012
Since the Reds play at home on Sept. 9
I guess that means the Bengals will open on the road… unless they get the early Monday nighter against Oakland.
txbengal29 - January 27, 2012
Actually
I’m going to start deleting comments and banning users. Some of this is getting ridiculous.
Personal comments directed at people will not be tolerated.
Josh Kirkendall - January 27, 2012
My favorite part
was when prayforgrammar made homophobic remarks and refused to apologize, then got all shrieky and butthurt when someone else made a (percieved) “racist” comment directed at him.
I love how he tells other posters they need to “lighten up” and “learn how to take a joke” but when he tastes a little of huis own medicine, it seems so bitter and forigen to him.
shibacle - January 27, 2012
you know i was about to flag a few of the comments
had to hit refresh on the page to load my pw, and in a blink, the comments in question were gone.

name calling and racists remarks on TOTALLY different LEVEL
If it was other way around I would’ve got blasted then banned ASAP.

I hope you get banned.

We have had several discussions on here, actually.
But then again, you aren’t one to let the facts get in your way.
shibacle - January 27, 2012
ok
What facts have been presented? We all just giving our opinions hay make off season fun. Personally I don’t care about No joking its all fun to me. But when u call somebody a SLAVE that’s different dude. And if u r whoever can’t respect that, just don’t comment on NOTHING I say. What u want some ATTENTION?
pray4gm11 - January 27, 2012 via mobile
You'll never learn.
shibacle - January 27, 2012
Whoa fellas!
What makes all this fun is people get to post their opinions. You dont have to like their opinions. The floor is open to debate. Everyone dont have to agree but everyone should be respected.
