The Bengals are in the playoffs and now they're to the point that if they lose, they're done. All 12 playoff teams want the same thing, a shot at Super Bowl XLVI and for the Bengals to get there, they have to go through the Texans first. Luckily, the Bengals are pretty healthy, just like they have been in the last few weeks. Andy Dalton is by far the biggest name on the team's Wednesday practice report, but he didn't sit out due to injury, he sat out because of an illness and he'll likely be back tomorrow. Running back Cedric Benson and safety Chris Crocker were also limited in practice.
The Texans are relatively healthy as well heading into their first playoff game in franchise history. Only linebacker Bryan Braman didn't practice on Wednesday. Six players, including tight end Owen Daniels and cornerback Johnathan Joseph, were limited in practice as well.

Well we definitely won't see our 3rd pick this year
I know we have all discussed the Moch situation but I wish the team would come out with some kind of official statement on him. If they already have I guess I missed it.

That is exactly what I was going to write, what is the real problem with moch? Has he done anything this year? Is there something seriously wrong with the guy?
whodeydoc - January 4, 2012 via mobile
He has migraine issues.
KSE - January 4, 2012
really?
those ain’t fun. My wife used to get them. I have a buddy who gets them on occasion. Disabilitating.
supergrover - January 5, 2012
Feel sorry for him.
I get them and I am unable to function until I get rid of it. I’m lucky though because a few Advil, nap, and cold wash cloth on my eyes/forehead normally get rid of it and it doesn’t last a long time like some migraine’s.
If he’s getting them bad and for extended periods of time, then he would do us NO good on the field and he wouldn’t even be able to practice. Hopefully the migraine medicine works better for him, as it made them worse on me at times.

This is probably the most under-reported story of the year
there’s been so much focus on “all the young talent” but you’ve actually only got 4 starters with R or 2 next to their names. That’s not that young. They really needed to get something out of Moch and last year Ghee and a few years ago Chase Coffman. The first 3 rounds are where most of the good players are. (If you only get two starters per draft class, it takes 11 years to fill a roster via the draft. The average NFL career is 3.3 years)
Overall the starters are 50% Bengals draft picks and 50% somebody else’s draft picks, which I think is a bit low (in spite of Mike Brown’s nutty claims about draft success)

No Carlos Dunlap
Not seeing his name on this list after what seems like 1/2 the season make me happy.

Benso
ExNFLScout - January 5, 2012 via mobile
Benson has been limited last few games
best thing would be for him to get limited carries. Bengals 2-0 when Scott got 10 or
more carries in 2011.
ExNFLScout - January 5, 2012 via mobile
that's an interesting number
I don’t remember which thread I posted it in, but Scott has a crazy conversion rate on 2nd/3rd and short. 100%. (on like 7 attempts, but still a good number)
supergrover - January 5, 2012
I don't know what Benson's number is but it would be interesting to see the actual
number for 3rd/4th downs. I can’t imagine it would be higher then 15%, but that’s probably just my mind remembering all the failed 3rd/4th and 1’s.
Still think they should stay with the hot hand with RB’s like other team’s. For example if Scott is ripping off some nice gains, don’t put Benson back in just because it’s his “Drive to play”.

Man! Are they gonna cut Moch after this year or what?
I know they’re saying migraines, but I’ve never heard them keeping somebody out of action for an entire season. Even Percy Harvin gets on the field every now and then.
Animal_Like_Football - January 5, 2012
There are differing levels of migrains. Believe me, I had a bout with them, they can make a man into a boy.
I would rather have an ACL tear than a migrain issue. You can fix an ACL tear. Migrains are a mysterious ailmant and there is no escape from the pain. They could go away tomorrow or continue for years. There is no really effective treatment. I really feel bad for the guy.

+1
I get them and I wouldn’t doubt his toughness because of it. However, if they continue to be a problem and he can’t get on the field then we need to give the roster spot to someone else next year, not because I feel he should play but exactly the opposite. Since he is unable to play with migraines(and I don’t expect him too if they are bad) then we should use the spot on someone that can play. Of course there’s no point in doing anything this year, but if it continues into next year, then he needs to be placed on IR, Practiced Squad, or something to open up a roster spot.

I think the biggest problem for me was the fatuige. I would be awake for days on end.
After a while I was a zombie and I am sure I was not fun to be around. I am blessed with a 1st class wife. Thru 40 years she has always been there. God, I am a lucky man.
