Good morning Bengals Nation! It's finally Friday which means the work week is just about over. And let's be honest, who wants to work when there's football that needs to be watched? Granted the game doesn't start for another 32 hours, but that's not the point. Think of it as 32 hours to prep for it with you being stuck at work for part of it--the preliminary planning process for what beer you'll have, how much beer, who you invite over to watch the game, what food you'll have, and whatever else goes into your planning for gameday.

Star-divide

Alright so the Bengals will have their hands full with everything on the line for them on Saturday. If the Bengals want to prove that their season wasn't a fluke and that they're capable of beating a playoff team then they will have to come out firing on all cylinders. Cincinnati will have to come out fierce and ready to bury the Texans offensive attack. The Bengals defense will need guys like Geno Atkins and Carlos Dunlap to be playing as if their job is on the line or something. As for the secondary, they will need to make sure they cover their assigned target. The Bengals will have to refrain from making any fatuous plays, cough cough blown coverage with the game on the line. There's no room for error and no one, except for anyone associated with the Texans, wants a repeat of the last match-up.

The Bengals defensive line will have their work cut out for them. They are going to have to put some pressure on T.J. Yates and clog any running holes that Arian Foster and Ben Tate are trying to explode through. One of the biggest concerns in my opinion is whether or not the Texans will utilize Andre Johnson against an inconsistent Bengals secondary. Johnson missed the game during the regular season due to injury. For years he has been one of the most underrated receivers in the game and the Bengals cannot lose sight of his presence. The Texans have weapons on offense and if Yates gets enough time in the pocket then he's capable of putting up some numbers. It's up to the Bengals defense to stop the Texans and guide the Bengals to a win.

Alright here is a look at what you may have missed or overlooked from Thursday.

WAKE UP

Who DEY NaTiOn!!! Playoffs are upon us!

Who F'n Dey?!!

D Line has got to show up big, giving Rey the chance to make some plays. Last game Rey came up huge with some big stops and the fumble recovery near the goal line. Gotta have it again……

im a little disappointed... I was hoping to get my Ken Anderson jersey by today

but i guess i have wear my chad johnson jersey

Duct tape works wonders

My friend had a housh jersey, so he put duct tape over the name and put Greshams name on it. Hahaha

lol its been awhile since i took my C Johnson jersey out

and I forgot how nice it looked, my bro got it for my a few years back…. its the authentic stitch jersey… Bengals have the best jerseys by far..

I saw a guy at PBS last Sunday

He had a Palmer jersey but had duct tape over Palmer and on the duct tape he wrote “1st round draft pick”……I got a kick out of it

Simple

Just done let the tight ends get 100 catches this time around.

Also when we get a lead, Do not sit on the ball. Just keep scoring.

At-least that’s what green-bay does and they won the Superbowl last year.

So lets take that formula – Bench Ced put in B-scott and use Gresham much much more

= A win

BENCH CED

is the key phrase there I think. Maybe it’s not even all his fault… our interior line (guards) just aren’t run blocking that well, so with Ced being a between the tackles runner it just doesn’t work that well. Scott having the ability to run outside is what we need.

Whodey

I am just watching the clock until tomorrow….The Bengals making the playoffs is surreal….just think about this time last year…..I think this is around the time Carson said he was done….just think of Bengals fans outlook then…compared to now……WHODEY

We can do this

I can’t freakin wait! Last game Ced gashed their D in the first half. So that proves we can run on them. Yes, the second half was different but they made adjustments and thats got to leave a whole somewhere else we just have to find it. If we can keep them honest and get 6 instead of 3 in the red zone we got this. It’s time for the nation to find out that the Bengals ain’t no joke. WHO DEY!!

im confident we will win

I had a sign last night… right when i got back in from walking my dog and turned on the tv… the nfl network had just started the replay of the bengals vs houston game from week 14

This post season victory is going to boil down to one basic denominator

Everyone needs to DO THEIR JOB. Words of wisdom from Marvin himself.

Zimmer recently stated the reason we got burned on the long Ray Rice runs was because of people not doing their job, not following the plan. We need constant steady pressure from the pass rush but coupled with the rest of the D sticking to the plan on not getting burned by screwball antics or blown coverage.

Gruden probably has some new plays in for this week to exploit things discovered in the last game with Texas. I too would like the coaches to realize B. Scott stands a better chance than Ced and that means he should get the start and majority of plays. I’m not saying to bench Ced, but I would prefer keeping him fresh in the first half and pound him into the wall for the second half.

All the TEs and WRs need to catch the balls thrown to them. Simple, yes! Easy, no! But if they can keep moving the chains and making 3rd downs when they should, then it is good to go.

The line needs to have a great game also.

Lets see these guys act like a team and get us the post season win!
