Dear Bengals defense,

please tackle the RB and cover the f@#$% TE…that is all.

oh yeah, PS…pressuring the Yates so he cant hit AJohnson would be great as well…

thank you and Whodey

Last playoff win after 1990 season

so yeah it is time for a win… pleaseee! Can’t think of any non expansion team that has waited any longer.

Time to get the monkey off our back.........

huge win tomorrow!

Today...

has felt very long. The excitement is reaching a huge level that I haven’t felt since…2005? The night before the Jets Playoff game didn’t feel this intense, I’m not sure why. Tomorrow will be quite a day.

I have high hopes for this game
WIN!

Let’s do it!!! Whodey!!!

Dwayne Allen TE Clemson

Has declared

Well Clemson has announced

that he will make himself available for the draft, so he’s essentially declared.

He probably wouldn't declare if he weren't going in the first two rounds

That makes it doubtful he will fall to us,

I wasn't meaning for us

We have Gresham

Does Gruden know this?
Seems to be he's learning it

and hopefully it continues, but I know what you mean.

And just got done getting his ass whipped.

70-33!

Not to blow my own horn but,

y’all should read ’Twas the nigh before playoffs.

That was amazing.

That was a great poem. I wish I had that creativity.

Enjoyed that. Good job.
Gonna be watching it at home with my Dalton jersey!

Who Dey!

A few things

1. The Bengals have never won a road playoff game. That is simply bizarre. It sure would be nice to get one.

2. I am concerned that the Bengals approach to this game will be wrong. Marvin-ball is conservative ball. I expect them to try to run Benson even though he’s been Mr 3.9 yards and a cloud of grass, and Mr Can’t Make a 1st down on 3rd and 1. I think they should approach this game as “have fun, no pressure, we’re not expected to win this”… meaning it’s okay to gamble rather than “stick with what brought us here”. I’d rather see them try a few razzle dazzle moves: a flea flicker, a reverse on a kickoff return, a surprising fake field goal. “What brought us here” lost every single time it faced a playoff team. I’d rather they unleash Andy Dalton and do a few things they didn’t do this season. But I just don’t think Marvin Lewis has that in him.

That's what makes me sad too.

If there’s a time to blow out your playbook, it’s now. If you care about this team, your job, and going farther in the playoffs, blow out the playbook and showcase every trick play, every beautiful idea, all this fancy stuff.

Dalton’s going to need to play the game of his life tomorrow. He needs to become the anti-Flacco.

Just wanted to get on here

and shoot a who dey to you all. Can’t wait for tomorrow.

Let's talk about Flukes..

We all, generally, like to believe the Bengals lost on a fluke last second drive. But what else was fluke? Was the ridiculous errant Yates pass that led to a Nelson INT a fluke? Was a Maualuga forced fumble and recovery on the goal line a fluke? Was yet another Rey forced fumble a fluke?

The Bengals made a lot of pure plays. Plays they don’t normally make, in the last Houston matchup. They went into that game thinking the season depended upon it, and this game is a playoff game. So perhaps they will play with the same intensity. But that’s a lot to rely upon.

What wasn’t a fluke was how the run game was totally shut down. If they can do that again and make a couple plays this game can be won. But it’s the “make a couple plays” part that worries me. This is more of a fundamental defense than a play making defense.

I've been thinking about that

In most of our wins we had at least one or two crazy plays. You could call them flukes or whatever and it started to worry me that maybe without those plays we aren’t half as good, but in reality it’s just football. Theirs hardly any game that doesn’t have that one crazy turning point play it’s just who is going to have it fall in their laps. If you replay every game there never going to go down the same as the first. I guess I’m just saying it’s apart of the game and it doesn’t worry me one bit cause we have just as good ofa chance as the other team. This year feels like a whole new Bengals franchise and I’m damn proud to be on board.

Just called off sick for tomorrow so I can watch the game...

WHO DEY!

YEA!!!!!!!!!!!

I coach 5-6 grade basketball and I had our game moved from 4 to noon…Yes I am selfish

I know it's cliche, but....

You gotta do what you gotta do.

Exactly They asked why

and I told them I had prior engagements as I was wearing my Bengals hoodie on my way home from PBS last Sunday. lol

Hahahaha

Perfect time to do it too. You killed two birds with one stone hahaha.

+1

lmao. you’re a true fan.

Thats the nicest thing anybody has ever said to me

I’m tearing up…

I can't sleep

I’m to freakin pumped/nervous/excited

Same. I may not sleep until the game is over.

Win or lose this game has all of my attention for tomorrow. I don’t know what else to focus on.

Should I

do what I normally do for away games or switch it up?

Depends

Do what you do when we win

Photos from last Sunday's game...

Those are awesome….

I have a wedding I'm planning (well fiancee is)

Nah

You’d have to fly me out from Cali ;-)

just did a little snooping

and i wound up on your website… that is some amazing stuff!!! with some amazing photos!! Glad to see we have such a well versed bengals fan on our boards!

the bengals have a real shot of taking AFC.

with marvin lewis they look well equipped.

Just posted more about this on the overrated Benson article

but I think if not Richardson (who I really, really want to see in stripes) then David Wilson. Just watch the highlight video

Try not to watch highlights...

instead, head over to DraftBreakdown.com – click videos – and enjoy.

Watch a snap by snap analysis. That way you can see the good & bad of each player. Helps tremendously when comparing players of the same position.

I'll do that

Have you watched anything on Wilson there? What are your thoughts?

Game Day

Who Dey

Just give me a win...

And ill drink a lot beers for ya, and be the happiest little bengals fan ever!

Gonna try to hit the rack now

lol I’m not really feeling but I need to…

I want a win so bad
who dey from london, england, britain, the uk

haven’t posted all season but sure as hell been reading cj all season. Today is the day we get over Palmer’s #kneegate once and for all.

Thanks to everyone who runs this blog and keeps me sane at work.

was just in London

Had the hardest time finding a bar that was playing Am. Football. Thankfully I had NFL Gamepass and my laptop!

Go London and go Cincinnati!

Adam Jones is a #1 corner, far superior to a nickelback. The problem with the Bengals secondary is Crocker and the play of their linebackers. Under Marvin, the linebackers have historically had a whale of a time covering eligible receivers, whether tight ends, running backs or wideouts. That’s why Houston has won their last three vs. Cincinnati and why the Jets were able to do the exact same things to the Bengals in Week 17 of the 2009 season, Wild Card Weekend, and Thanksgiving 2010. That’s why the Patriots are a rough matchup for the Bengals. They won’t be able to cover Gronkowski or Woodhead.

I’ve been clamoring for Crocker to go since late 2009. He should not have been back last season. Sometimes this organization gets “Dhani Syndrome”, where they find a true pro who can follow directions but physically can’t get the job done consistently enough to justify that much playing time. He was another guy I wanted gone by late 2009. He was a major goat vs. the Jets in that Wild Card game, him and Carson’s 146 yards passing. You can see Crocker look at the sideline when he does make a play, as if to say, “see, I can still play!”. It’s pathetic. Everyone makes mistakes, but he makes the whole secondary bad. A player given that much responsibility out there can crush you if he isn’t doing his job.

Carson Palmer.

Where is everybody???

I just started pregaming!!!!!!!!!!!!!

so ive got three surgeries today...

A skunk, screech owl and coyote (which ill have to catch before the procedure). Needless to say I should be focused for the saftey of myself and the animals, but I’m wired and I’ve already told coworkers that I’m leaving the dog on the table at 4pm haha.

Some things are just important.

someone

knows their priorities!!!!!!!! WHO DEY BABY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Haven't read through all of the posts yet

and if someone mentioned it, forgive me, but i REALLY hope to see pacman returning punts tomorrow

I heard the wild card games this year will be shown online (as in good quality)

has anyone heard this rumor and if so, do you know the link? Thanks much. Oh and…

WHO DEY!!!!

haven't heard that but

I wouldn’t be surprised at all. I think the NFL did it last year.

Let's get some!

I want to see Yates in the dirt all day long. And Baby Hawk taking an end-around to the house. Go get ’em guys!

Please beat Houston GO BENGALS!

That is all :)
